It all started with the launch of a fanzine and soon the part-time passion became a profession.
Over the years I have had the pleasure of interviewing some of the world’s finest songwriters, including Beck, Ray Davies, John Martyn, Iggy Pop and Brian Wilson.
As a freelancer I have contributed to a wide range of consumer titles from Arena to Q magazine, broadsheets as far and wide as Australia’s The Sunday Telegraph and Britain’s The Independent, and entertainment business titles including Audience, Billboard, Cue Entertainment, IQ, Music Ally, Record of the Day and Musical America.
I spent four years working as an editor at Music Week, having previously edited video business trade title Home Entertainment Week.
Aside from the creative talent, I have had the great fortune to meet and interview many hugely influential and interesting figures within the music and wider entertainment industry, including Sony Music’s Clive Davis, Universal Music UK CEO David Joseph, Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman and XL Recordings owner Richard Russell.
